Why Tennis?

This is another story about a logical and important consideration why we choose to play tennis for a lifetime and also first sport for our kids.

Tennis is one of the few sports where you can play and compete for life. Start from junior circuit go to university tennis programmes, tennis club matches until veterans tennis.  And social opportunities inTennis clubs and academies.

Many tennis fans believe that tennis is very enjoyable for fit and fun.  Without prejudice to respect other sports, tennis is not boring and has many challenges. Sometimes the strategies and tactics change so quickly as well as the accuracy of our decisions, for example, where the ball will be shot and what the right shot selection for it.

In today’s fast-paced corporate world, Everyone is always on the go, time becomes a very important consideration when working out. With a little time but the goal is reached.  Other than running, you can generally get to a local tennis court hit for an hour and have a great workout.  And its generally not too hard to get a hitting partner.

Develop social skills through interaction and communication before a match, while changing sides of the court and after play.

Team-Building, Learn teamwork since successful doubles play depends on you and your partner’s ability to communicate and play as a cohesive unit.

Sportsmanship since tennis teaches you to compete fairly with opponents, learn to win graciously and lose with honor. Gloating after a win or making excuses after a loss doesn’t work in tennis or in life.

You can win matches in tennis by not winning every single point, but by winning most of the points in most of the games in most of the sets, exactly as in life. Since no one’s perfect, tennis mirrors life in that if you keep getting up after a defeat (of a point, a game or a set) and keep fighting, you, too, can still win the match.

After all, it makes sense to invest the most time and resources in an activity which pays the highest dividends.  And tennis does just that.
